The Approach

The EXCALIBUR project employs a holistic, interdisciplinary methodology that merges cutting-edge technologies—Artificial Intelligence (AI), Extended Reality (XR), and Digital Twins—with Social Sciences and Humanities (SSH). This approach enables the study, conservation, and restoration of burial heritage in a manner that is scientifically robust, ethically grounded, and operationally usable by heritage professionals
